A REEMAIN project workshop is taking place on
June 18 at the
De Monfort University in Leicester with the participation of representatives from the
Cartif and
DMU research teams. Its objective is to make progress on the development of the simulation and modelling platform for energy optimisation in industrial processes. In particular, the workshop seeks at solving issues related to coding the energy technologies to be used in the process, into the virtual environment (a simulation platform) managed by software specialists
IES - Integrated Environmental Solutions. This step is pivotal to allow virtual testing before implementing real installations in factories. Energy technologies considered for the simulation platform range from PV to electricity battery storage and solar concentrators and are fully described in the REEMAIN Technology Roadmap coordinated by
Dr. Jakob Energy Research.
